The day'B program will open at ten a. m. with Sunday school. At 11 the pastor, Rev. John Wells, will conduct devotional and Dr. H. G. Duncan will give history of the church. Special music will tie furnished by a quartet following the church his tory and at other points in the day's program. R. H. McNeill, prominent Washington, D. C., attorney, will speak at 12 noon and lunch ,w^ be spread picnic style at 1$.:30. The afternoon program will open at 1:80 with recognition of visitors and former pastors. An address by Judge Johnson J. Hayes, of Wllkesboro, will be the concluding feature of the day's program. Johnson Child Dies Funeral service was held Tues day at Antloch church for Pa tricia Lynn Johnson, two-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Johnson, Jr. The child died Sunday, June 26. Surviving are the father and mother and one sister, Sharon Blaine Johnson. Scouts At Camp Fifteen boys of Boy Scout troop number 35 are spending this week at Camp Lasater near Winston-Salem. Phone ISO. 6-804fe-pd Seining In Yadkin July 1 To August 31 Joel Bentley, district game protector, said today that the Yadkin river from the Surry county line to Ferguson bridge will be open for seining from July 1 to August 31. All other streams are closed to seining. The regulations are as fol lows: Each seine mnst be tagged with a metal tag, along with,a fishing license. Tag may be se cured from the game protector. Mr. Bentley also stated that the east prong of Roaring River from Joynes postofflce to mouth of Stone Mountain creek and the middle prong from mouth of Lovelace creek to Blnff Park boundary has been stocked witb rainbow trout. M., July 12, 1949, for work hereinafter described to be done on the following sections of streets: Trogdon Avenue from Trogdon Street west approximately 900 lineal feet, work to consist of do ing the necessary grading 24 feet wide and laying six inch stone base. 18 ft. wide, allowing for three foot dirt shoulder on each side of said street; Toll Road from intersection of "F" and Eighth Streets, intersect ing "G", "H", "I", "J" and "K" Streets, terminating at Elizabeth Street, approximately 2,900 lineal feet, work to consist of the neces sary grading, 24 feet -wide, and laying six inch stone base 18 feet wide, allowing for * 3 foot dirt shoulder on each side of said road or street; Seventh Street, between "A" and "B" Streets, approximately 226 lineal feet, work to consist of the necessary grading for laying1 6 inch stone base with concrete gut ter two feet wide and six inches deep, and concrete curb six inches under ground and six inches above gutter on both sides, except no curb at approach to alley on west side of street, approximately 1,000 square yards of stone base; ap proximately 17 cubic yards con crete gutter, and approximately 8 cubic yards concrete curbing; Gwyn Street, from Old Highway No. 18, or Pinley Avenue, north west about 400 feet, work to con sist of grading for 18 feet stone base, 6 inches deep, with dirt shoulders, approximately 800 square yards of stone base; "E" Street, from Sixth Street to Seventh Street, work to consist of necessary grading for 6 inch stone base, 40 feet wide, consisting of approximately 1,777 square yards of stone base with concrete gutter two feet wide on both sides, and 6 inches deep, and concrete curb on both sides, making approxi mately 30 cubic yards concrete gutter and approximately 15 cubic yards concrete curbing; Seventh Street from "17' to "H" Street, and "H" Street from Seventh to Sixth Street, work to consist of the necessary grading for 6 inch stone base 18 feet wide, with three foot dirt shoulders on both sides of stone base; Alley from Seventh Street through block 25, across Eighth Street, and through block 26 to Ninth Street, and from intersec tion of said alley and Ninth Street through block 27 to dead aid of the alley, work to consist of 18 foot stone base, 6 inches deep; Alley through block 86, from Tenth Street to Forester Avenue, Work to consist of necessary grad ing and laying concrete surfacing 20 ft. wide and 6 inches thick, ap proximately 52 cubic yards con crete. All materials used and all work performed on the aforesaid streets and alleys must meet North Caro lina State Highway specifications for similar work.
