C., is spending two weeks here in the home of her brother, Mr. Z. O. Eller, and with other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. O. K. Whitting ton and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Mc Neill and daughters, Elaine and Christine, have returned to their respective homes after en joying a week's vacation at Car olina Beach. I Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Mrs. Gardner Beckett and son, Mr. Gardner Beckett, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., were guests here last week In the home of Mrs. Beckett's niece, Mrs. W. K. Sturdivant, and other relatives. Mrs. I. N. Hollans and son, Mr. Lester Hollans, of Roanoke, Va., visited here last week in the home of Dr. and Mrs. A. C. Chamberlain. Mrs. Hollans is a cousin of Dr. Chamberlain. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Yates and son, Robert, of Georgetown, S. C., are spending a few days in Wilkesboro with Mr. Yates* fa ther and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Yates, and other relatives. I Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hinshaw and Mrs. Ira Payne attended the Robert Morris Day celebration at the Masonic and Eastern Star home in Greensboro Thursday. Approximately 1,500 Masons and Eastern Star members from lodges and chapters throughout North Carolina were present for the ceremonies, which included open house for the new Latham building, and a basket lunch served at the noon hour. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Church, of Richmond, Va., are spending two veeks in the county visiting with ?elatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bauguss. who have been making their home in the Foote apartment pn Ninth street, moved last week o 210 Fifth street. Mrs. Belva Parsons, of Hays, has taken a position as assistant Terminal Manager at the Bus Station here. Mrs. Parsons is the former Miss Belva Woodie, if Wilbar. L. class of the North Wilkesboro First Bap tist church will hold its an nual picnic supper Tuesday evening, 6:80 o'clock, at Smoot Park.
