Caudlll has returned to Knoxville, Tenn., where he is a student at the University of Tennessee. He is a senior there and will graduate in December 1949. Rev. DeBerry were host esses to the members of' the Wo man's Society of Christian Ser vice of the Wilkesboro Methodist church in the Community House Tuesday evening.. The program for the evening, which was a combined meeting of all the cir cles, was directed by Mrs. Mil ler, being assisted by Mesdames W. T. Long, Stacey Alexander, A. R. Gray, Sr., J. B. Henderson, and Mrs. DeBerry. "Why Home Mission Schools?" was the theme for the program. Mrs. William Gray, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. R. E. Prevette, sang "The Holy City". Mrs. DeBerry, the president, was in charge of the business session. Refreshments and a so cial hour wer enjoyed at the close of the evening. Mrs. L. B. Dula Is Auxiliary Hostess The monthly meeting of the Episcopal Auxiliary was held on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. L. B. Dula in Wilkesboro. Mrs. Paul Harvel, Jr., presided for the business session. Mrs. W. W. Barber conducted the devot ions, and Mrs. Goodwin Bloom field gave the program. Mrs. Bloomfield gave a most interest ing talk on the American Indian. During the social hour, the host ess was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Paul Osborne, in serving re jfreshments. First Baptist To Have Mission Study The Woman's Missionary So ciety of the First Baptist church will hold a mission study class on Stewardship in the annex of the church on Monday evening begin ning at seven o'clock. The study book, Bible Stewardship, is to be presented by Dr. John T. Way land, pastor of the church. Dur ing a short intermission, refresh ments will be served.
