Grant, a prominent Mocksvllle attorney, was a bus iness visitor in the Wllkesboros Wednesday. Mr. J. E. Caudill and daugh ter, Miss Marjorie Caudill, left Tuesday to spend three weeks at Hot Springs, Ark. Attorney Max Ferree was in Winston-Salem this week ap pearing in a case in federal court there. Mr. Hoke Henderson, an Elkin attorney, was in the Wilkesboros yesterday looking after business matters. Mr. Fred Hubbard, Jr., bus iness manager of the Wilkes hospital, is engaged in special study at Northwestern Univers ity in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Edwards and son, Dean, visited their bou and brother, Mr. Shelton Ed wards, at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory Sunday. - Mr. and Mrs. Tom Foster, stu dents at Mars Hill College, spent the week-end in Wilkesboro with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Troy C. Foster and Dr. and Mrs. G. T. Mitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Oid Wiles, Miss Mae Wiles, Mrs. Vann Wiles and children, Betty Lou, Judy and James, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Smithey in Greens boro Sunday. ? - . Fishel, of Winston-Salem, were overnight guests Monday of Mr. and Mrs M. M. Brame, Jr. Mr. Wayne C. Church, of Bessemer City, visited his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Mr. Jerry Venable returned to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Venable, on Wednesday after spending sev eral days as a patient at the Wilkes Hospital. Mrs. Paul Greene and Miss Ruth Thompson, home agent and assistant agent of Wilkes county, attended a Home Eco nomics Convention held Friday and Saturday at the Robert E. Lee Hotel in Winston-Salem. Dr. and Mrs. A- C. Chamber lain spent the week-end in Ra leigh with their son, Mr. Rich ard Chamberlain, and Mrs. Chamberlain. A daughter was born Sunday at Rex hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Chamber lain.
