Mrs. Paige Rites Held Saturday Mrs. Olio Clark Paige Dies Unexpectedly In Moores ville Hospital Mrs. Olio Clark Paige, wife of Robert L. Paige, of Cornelius, died while undergoing an opera tion at a Mooresvllle Hospital. Thursday morning, November 10 th. The operation was not considered a serious one and her death came as a shock to family and friends. Mrs. Paige, a member of a very prominent Wilkes County family, was the former Helen Olio Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Clark, of Millers Creek. She was married to Ro bert L. Paige, of Greensboro, on August 24, 1943, but due to his being in the service, con tinued to make her home with her parents. During this time she was connected with Pre vette's Women's Store. After her I husband's discharge from the service, they made their home in Charlottesville, Va., later mov ing to Cornelius, where she lived at the time of her death. Mrs. Paige was born March 24, 1919, her age at death be ing 30 years, 7 months, 16 days. She joined Pleasant Home Bap tist church at the age of 15 years, and thad been a devout church member, having moved her membership to each locality in which she lived. She was also a member of the Mecklenburg Chapter of the Eastern Star, in which she took a very active part and was a yalued member. Surviving Mrs. Paige are her husband, Robert L., one daugh ter, Barbara Lynn, age 2, her parents, Mr. and- Mrs. A* S. Clark and the following broth ers and sisters: Fred R. Clark of Charlotte, N. The body was returned to the home of her parents Friday and funeral services were held at Pleasant Home Baptist church Saturday afternoon, November 12 at 2:00 o'clock. The service was conducted by Dr. John T. Wayland and Rev. A. W. Eller. The Mecklenburg Chapter of the Eastern Star participated in the grave side rites. Prior to the service the body lay in state at the church for one hour. Mrs. Paige . was well-liked and known throughout the county and made many friends wher ever she chose to live. She was especially devoted to her moth er and family. The esteem in which she was held was proven by the beautiful floral offerings, which were carried by around fifty of her friends. ? o ? 43 From Here At Carolina And Notre Dame Game In N. Y.
