Resolution Of Respect Whereas on the thirtieth day of November 1949, 4:00 p. m. the Great Architect of the Uni verses in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call from labor in this imperfect to that all perfect Glorious and Celestial Lodge above, our Brother E. L. Spicer who was born May 1, 1878, age 71 years 6 months and 29 days. Whereas Brother Spicer had' been a member of our Lodge Traphill No. 488, A. F. and A. M. Traphill, N. C. for the past twenty-four years, was a true and loyal citizen of his commun ity, and has now gone to that undiscovered country from whpse bourne no traveler returns, leav ing a host of friends and rela tives to mourn their loss. The funeral services were con ducted at McCabe Memorial Bap tist church, Martinsville, Va., by Rev. L. R. Broughman, after which the body was taken in charge and given a due Masonic burial at Roselawn Cemetery, by Piedmont Lodge No. 152 A. F. & A. M., Martinsville, Va. Brother S. E-. Martin, Master, Piedmont Lodge No. 152 was in charge of the Masonic burial which was very impressive and well rendered. Now be it resolved by Trap hill Lodge No. 4 83 A. F. & A, M. First: we bow in humble sub mission to him who ruleth all things well, and though we miss our Brother let us try to emulate his virtues. Second: That in the death of Brother Spicer the State has lost a good citizen, the family a kind father and the fraternity a true member. Third: That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereav ed family, and point to them the Grand Master of the Universe for comfort. Fourth: That the usual badge of mourning be worn for thirty days. Fifth: That these resolutions be spread upon our minutes, a copy be sent to the bereaved family, and a copy be sent to The Journal-Patriot with request to publish.
