Mae's Beauty Salon Mrs. Jake Church — Educational Films To Be Used In Schools Of Wilkes County In 1980 Wilkes committee of the .Tuber culosis-Association in meeting here laid'plans for activities in 1950. ) ' First item of discussion was a program of education in the schools relative to importance of early diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and preventative mea sures. it was explained that re cent tuberculin tests in Wilkes schools had shown an unusally high percentage of reactions. Tak ing part in the discussion^ of work in the schools were J. Floyd Wood ward, superintendent of North Wllkesboro schools, Principal P. W. Gregory of Mountain View and Principal P. W. Greer of Mil lers Creek. The committee voted to secure educational 4ilms and literature for distribution in the schools in October and November. Dr. John T. Wayland, Rehabili tation chairman, told of plans for entertainment and building the morale of patients at the Wilkes Tuberculosis hospital and rehabili tation work to be carried out for discharged patients. Dr. J. H. McNeill, chairman, presided at the meeting and oth ers attending included Oharles McNeill, C. C. Sldden, Mrs. Ivey Moore, Tom Jenrette, Mrs. Paul Greene, Mrs. J. H.
