THE proprietors of the Gaston Hotel beg leave to inform the travelling public that, by the re cent change of the schedule on the above routes, their House has been made the regular Dinner House for Passengers going north and south. Passengers going North leave Raleigh daily at 8 o'clock A. M. arrive at Gaston at 12 o'clock M. when they take dinner and an hour or two allowed for refreshments, and reach Petersburg at 6 o'clk. P. M., connecting-with the Express train direct to New York. Passengers going South leave Petersburg at 9 o'clock, A. M. arrive at Gaston at 12 o'clock, P. M. where they take dinner and arrive at Raleigh at 8 o'clock- P. M. Passengers are also informed that there is now in operation two lines from and between Raleigh and Petersburg : one via Weldon and one via Gas ton. Passengers going via Weldon to or from Pe tersburg or Raleigh will be charged 50 cents more than via Gaston ; consequently, passengers make their dinner clear or save 50 cts by taking the Gas ton Route, and lose no time. AS the Male School at Pleasant Grove is now finally discontinued, the Subscriber will, oh the 2d Monday va, July, open a Female School of the first order, under the charge of Miss H. N. Adams, who is well qualified to instruct in all the branches taught in our best Schools, as I have ex perienced, during her residence for nearly two years as a Teacher in my family. Experience is the best evidence in School teaching, and those wishing to avail themselves of the benefit of this Institution will please inform the subscriber imme diately ; as the number of pupils will at no one time exceed sixteen. The musical department will be superintended by Teachers of the first grade, and every attention will be given to the deportincut of the Young La dies, both in and out of School. This situation, midway between Louisburg and the Shocco Springs, is known to be one of the most pleasant and healthy in the State. TERMS PER SESSION. This attractive combination offers to Policy holders double the ordinary securi ty, without destroying their right to a full participa tion in the entire profits of the Company.
