THE undersigned, intending to remove to the State of Arkansas, offers for sale his PLAN TATION in the county of Richmond. The tract contains about 1200 acres, of which at least 500 is rich bottom land, on the Pee Dee and Little Rivers. The remainder is undulating and hil.y, but a large part productive. The hilly land is as healthy as any in the county, and suffi ciently near the bottoms to make it quite conve nient as a place of residence. The Improvements consist of a small dwelling in the hills, with summer cabins for the neg- oes, and a well of excellent water. There is a good road, of easy grade, leading from the summer place to the valley, with a bridge across Little River. In the valley there are a half dozen substantial negro houses, stables and barns of ex :ellent quality. In addition to this, there is a fine Mill for Corn Wheat with a Cotton Gin attached, on Little River. This Plantation is well suited as any in the coun ty to the raising of Grain, and yields Cotton very well. The range for Stock is tne best in the Coun ty. This land adjoins the plantations of W'. P. Stanback, A. A. Robinson, and others, and is a bout a haif mile below Stanback's Ferry, on tha Pee Dee Address me at Little's Mills. THOMAS W. STEELE. Criticism or thk Press. There are many incidents interlaced with the plot ; the whole story is very prettily written. Miss Hartland may henceforth take rank among the most successful female novelists of the U. S. If. Y. Com. Adv. The construction of the story is quite artistic, and the sprightly dialogue, as well as the excel lent tone pervading it, will make it one of the most popular fictions of the present year. Phiia. Eventng Mail. From the first page to the last we have read with increasing pleasure this charming narrative of a life of mingled joy and sorrow, of trial and consolation, of passion and of peace. The moral of the story is prominent and unexcep tionable ; beauty and truth haveclasped hands in its recitaL Fred. New. We take especial pleasure in commending this earnest, chastely written and judicious story, as one among the brilliant gems that have recently made their appearance. From its affectionate, heart speaking " Dedica tion to my Brother and Sister," to its close, the j attention is riveted with intense and irresistible power. Mc.Mahan American Courier, Phil.
