SEALED PROPOSALS . . will he received at this office until 10 a'olook, A M. of th 81st January next for the purchase of Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand dollars in Bonds, running thirty years. These bonds are issued by the Stat Of North Carolina for th construction of th North Carolina P ailroad ; and fn addition to th faith of the State, all the Stock held by the State in said Road, and th dividends arising from said stock, are pledged for their redemption. Proposal will also be received, at the same time, for the purchase of Eight Thousand dollars In Bonds, running ten years, issued by the same authority, for the construction of the Weldoa and G tston Rai'road, and the improvement of the na vigation of the Neuse and Tar rivers. Both classes of Bond are, by express enact ment exempted from taxation for any purpose. -They will .ber date th first day of January, 1855, and will hav coupons attached for the in terest alt six per cent, per annum, payable the first days of January and July, in each year.
