that a new turnpike road has been made from the
Montgomery White Sulphur Sprints by the Mountain
Lake and Salt Sulphur, to the old White Sulphur
springs, which is not only the best road in the moan
tains, but the lake scenery is the most attractive in all
that country. The Montgomery White Sulphur Springs
themselves are now the most popular of the new places
of resort in the mountains, and are the most accessi
ble. Passengers must take the 5 A. M. train from Pe
tersburg by the Southside Railroad, and arrive at the
Montgomery White early in the afternoon of the same
