The undersigned is appointed an Agent for the re ception of subscriptions, of such portions of their crops, as the patriotic citizens of North Carolina may be able to invest in the bonds of the Confederate States. These bonds have twenty years to run, and bea eight per cent interest, payable semi-annually. We are to wear citizens' clothe and to usesueh arms as we can furnish ourselves. , A pair of Coifs pistols, a bowie knife aad a double barrel gun, with a Minnie ball or a good rifle ; to pledge ourselves to serve during the war wherever the President may -choose to place us; to serve without pay. The main object of this organization is to avenge the death f General Robert S. Oarnett, of Virginia, and Colonui Charle F. Fisher, of North Carolina. Those who wish to form sucb a regiment, will sig nify their assent by writing to me at the above post office and when we have 600 men we wl report our sel?es for duty, ami go on increasing the number until it amounts to LOvO. .4 j The design is, that the number shall always be kept . np by new enlistments whenever vacancies occur by death or inability, and no other cause shall release a man from bis obligation.
