THEbE Pills cure all diseases by purifying the blood They give to all the organs of the body the proper amount of life necessary to their purifica tion. They are a fountain of health to all man- kino, and may be justly said to give the beauty and vigor of youth to the weakness and decrepiitnde of age. Can it be believed that after being before the public for ninety-one years, their sale should only now be a little rising a million of boxes per year? But so it is, and it is only to be attributed to fatal pre judice, or their sale would be at least twenty mil lions of boxes per year instead of only one million. Let all the sick use them they will soon be among the healthy ; let all who would secure themselves from sickness have them by them, in case of a sud den attack ; tor a few doses taken when the body commences to get out of order, and the benefit is secured at once. Fathers and mothers, attend to this subject ; sons and daughters, attend to this sub ject : let all men and womeu ask themselves the question, whether what has stood the test of time so long does not deserve some attention. And who is to be benefitted 7 Those who use the Brandrelh Pills. They are the ones that receive the interest of a thousand per ceut How ? In a pres ent payment of health, ef vivacity for dullness, ot brightness and clearness of perception, in place of cloudiness and confusion of mind. Braudrelh's Pills are a life preserver. Those who know their qualities feel secure in their health and faculties being preserved to them to au indefinite pe riod. They are equally good in all kinds of disease, no matter how called, because they cannot be used without taking out impurities from the blood, and perseverance will cause its perfect purificatiou, and no disease can be present when the blood is pure. : TESTIMONIALS form twenty-three citizens of Tarrytomn, Westchester county N. Y-, concerning the valve of BRANDRETH'S PILLS, as a cure in BILIO US and D YSPEP TIC cases. Januabt 14,1847 Dr. B. Brandreth: By Dear Sir : We, the undersigned, being fully convinced of the superior quality of your Vegetable Universal Pills over all others as a Cathartic Medi cine, which opinion is founded on our own personal experience having used them for years as a family medicine. We therefore take pleasure in thus re commending them as specially excellent in prevent ing aud curing those bilious difficulties lo which al most every individual is, at certain periods of the year, more or less subject. In all dyspeptic cases in which we have seen them used, they have affected a perfect cure. The method of using them was to take oue or two every night when going to bed. Who ever that is dyspeptic, and follows this advice, will be sure of a cure, so we believe, as we have never known them to fail. Nothing but the welfare of our fellow-beings has induced us to write this ; you will therefore confer a particular favor upon us by hav iug it published. Munson L Lock wood. County Clerk. Messrs XVyalt und Ketcham : Gentlemen Un derstanding that you are the General Agents for the sale of Dr. Upham's Vegetable Electuary, for the cure of the Piles, I have tleemed it my duty to vol unteer a recommendation in behalf of that invaluable medicine. I have been afflicted for many years with the Piles, and have tried various remedies, but with no beneficial ellects. Indeed, I iiegan to consider my caie hopeless. But, about the first of September last, I was prevailed upon by a friend to make a tri al of the above named medicine ; I took his advice, and rejoice to say that I am not only relieved, but as I believe, perfectly cured. REMARKABLE CURE OF PILES Thirty Years Stasbixo!! Mocjtt Wihhixotox, Berkshire Co., Mass. : Nov. 29ih, 1847 Messrs. Wtatt & Ketcham : Gents For 30 years I have been afflicted with Pilea, general Debil ity, and Inflammation, causing tumors and prolapsus of the bowels, and which hud resisted all the medical treatment Dr. Chapman and others could give. The last three year of that time my sufferings defy de scription. I was confined lo bed unable to help my self, and at tat given up by my physicians and friends in despair of ever gaining my -health; in fact, for a lime before I commenced using Dr. Upham's Elec tuary, I was entirely speechless, and my burial clothes were made. But under the beneficent mercies ol Providence, and the use of Dr. Upham's Electuary, though an old max, I have the pleasure of stating the fact to the pulilic that my health is now good, and I hope lo live many years, if it is God's will, to make known the virtues of Dr. Upham s Llectuary, and to recommend it to my afflicted fellow creatures. It helped me beyond the expectations of all who knew my case, and I can only say to others, that it is, in my opinion, the best medicine in the world lor Pi!e, or any other disease of the bowels ; and if they will use it according to the directions, I will myself warrant a cure, in every case. HARRISON, 147 Greenwich-Street, IVew York. SOLE AMERICAN AGENT. THE success which has attended HASTINGS' NAPHTHA SYRUP, in Decline, Consump tion, Spitting of Bhod, Asthma 5-c , since its introduc tion into the United States, fully eq ials what it met with in Europe. Its use has been adopted in nearly all our large hospitals ; and the most eminent of our physicians have vrriiten highly favorable notices of it, and patronise it extensively in their private practice. Indeed, they have almost abandoned all other reme dies for the usual diseases of the lungs; and a single case has not yet been reported in which it has failed to give satisfaction and relief. If the reader is at all inclined to Consumption, or affected with any of the diseases which are likely to produce it, let him lo.e no t me in procuring a bottle of HASTINGS' NA PHTHA SYRUP, and one or two doses will satisfy him of its surprising virtues, and that a short contin uance of its use will restore him to health : for it not only cures in a brief period, but gives relief, and a warrant of its excellence, and mastery over the dis ease, in a few miuutes after it is received into the system. Hence Sir James Clarke, the Court physi cian, remarks of it, that " in consequeuce of the brisk aud unmistakeable energy of its operations, no medicine has so much the confidence of patients as Hastings' Compound Syrup of Naphtha." Ill confirmation of the above, we annex the follwing certificates, selected from a large num ber now in the office of the American agent. Silver Lake, Oct. 8th, 1847. Dn.
