Messrs XYyatt und Ketcham : Gentlemen Un demanding that you are lhe General Agents for the sale of Dr. Upham's Vegetable Electuary, for the cure of the Piles, I have deemed it my duty to vol unteer a recommendation in behalf ol that invaluable medicine. I have been afflicted for many vears with the Piles, and have tried various remedies, but with no beneficial ellects. Indeed, I began to consider my cae hoeless. But, about the first of September last. I was prevailed upon by a friend to make a tri al of the above named medicine ; I look his advice, and rejoice to say that I am not only relieved, but as I believe, perfectly cured. REMARKABLE CURE OF PILES Thirty Mocx r Wisai.iGTOx, Berkshire Co., Mass Nov. 29 1 h, 1847. Messrs. Wyatt & Ketcham : Gents For 3D years 1 have been afflicted with Piles, general Debil ity, and Inflammation, causing tumors and prolapsus of the bowels, and which had resisted all the medical treatment Dr. Chapman and others could give. The last three years of that time my sufferings defy de scription. I was confined to bed unable to help my self, and at last given up by my physicians and friends in despair of ever gaining my health; in fact, for a lime before I commenced using Dr. Upham's Elec tuary, I was entirely speechless, and my burial clothes were made. But under the beneficent mercies ol Providence, and the use of Dr. Upham's Electuary, though an old maw, I have the pleasure of stating the fact to the public lhai my health is now good, and I hope to live many years, if it is God's will, to make known the virtues of Dr. Upham s Electuary, and to recommend it lo my afflicted fellow creatures. It helped me beyond the expectations of all who knew my case, and I can only say to others, that it is in my opinion, the best medicine in the world for Piles, or any other disease of the bowels ; and if they will uee it according lo the directions, I will myself warrant a cure, in every case. Indeed, they have almost abandoned all other reme dies for the usual diseases of the lungs; aud a single case has not yet been reported iu which it hasailed logive satisfaction aud relief. If the reader is at all inclined to Consumption, or affected with any of the diseases which are likely to produce it, lei him lose no time iu procuring a bottle of HASTINGS' NA PIITHA SY RUP, and oue or two doses will satisfy lnni of its surprising virtues, and that a short contin uance of its use will restore him to health : for it not only cures in a brief period, but gives relief, aud a warrant of its excellence, and mas' ery over the dis ease, in a few minutes after it is received iuto the system. And the undersigned were pleased to observe, that whilst the lighter accomplishments had received a full share of attention, as exhibited in an interesting display of vocal and Instrumental Music, and in beautiful specimens of Drawing, Paint ing and Embroidery that the more solid and prac tical Branches, especially tho.e of Arithmetic, Alge bra, Geometry, Geography, Astronomy, aad Histo ry had been made prominent. The Examination 111 loose uranencs, reaected nign credit, both on Teachers and Pupils ; and in saying that, they would by no means omit to elate, that the same pro ficiency, that evidence of the same thorough teach ing, was exhibited in the examination on the varidus other branches comprised in lhe course of study. And they believe they but feebly express the feelings and sentiments of the large arid intelligent Auditory present on the occasion, when they ssy that th.y were never before present at an Examination, moie thorough and more satisfactory. Mr. Turner, himself, a Graduate of the United Slates Militaiy Academy, at West Point, is a Teach er in the School, and is assisted by the best Instruc tors.
