'Dt Hoofiand's Celebrated German Bitters, for the care of Liver Complaint, Jaondice, Dyspepeis, Chronic or Nervous Debility, is deservedly one of (be most popular medicines of the day. These Bit tars hare been used by thoosands. and a friend at ear eibow says he has himself received sn effectual sod permanent cure of Liver Complaint from the um of this remedy. We are convinced that, in the use of these Bitters, tbe patient constantly gains strength and vigor, a fact worthy of great consider ation They are pleasant in taste and smell, and can be used by persons with the most delicate stomachs with safety, under any circumsiaoeee. We are speaking from experience, and te the af iicted we advise their ue." "Scott's Wkkily,1 one of the best Literary papers published, said, August 25 -Dr. Hoofiand's German Bitters, manufactured by Dr. Jackson, are now recommended by some of the most prominent members of tbe facalty, as an article of much efficacy in case of female Weakness As such is the case, we would advise all mothers to btain a bottle and thus save themselves mnch sick- era. Persous of debilitated constitutions will find these Bitters advantageous to their health as We know from experience the salutary effect that they have upon weak systems." Judge M. M. Noah, a gentleman of great liter ary and scientific attainments, said ia his 44 New York Weekly Messenzer. Januiry 6, 1650. "Dr. Holand's German Bitters. Here is a pre pantion which the leading presses ia the Union appear to be unanimous in recommending, and the reason is obvious. It is made after a proscription furnished by one of the most celebrated physicians m dern times, the late Dr Christopher Wilhelm HoofliHd. Professor to the University of Jena, Pri vite Plijsician to the King of Prussi s, and one of the greatest medical writers Germany has overpro duced. He was emphatically tke enemy of humbug, and therefore a medicine of which he was the in vester and endorser may be coofideutly relied en. He specially recommended it in Liver Complaint, Dyspepsia, Debility, Vertigo, Acidity of the Stom aca, Loustipation and all complaints arising from a disordered condition of the stomach, the Liver and the intestines. Nine Philadelphia pjpers express their conviction of its excellence, and several ef the dnors peak of its effects from their own individ c! experience, Uuder these circumstances we feel warranted, not only in calling the attention of our rea.lers to the present proprietors (Dr. C. M Jack son) Preparation, but in recommeading the article U all afflicted." MORE EVIDENCE. The 'Philadelphia Satusdat Gazette, the best family newspaper published in the United Stales, tie editor 6ays of DR. HOOFLAND'S GERMAN BITTERS. " It is seldom that we recommend what ara termed latent Medicines to the confidence and patronage cf our revlers; and, therefore, when wa recommend Dr llosflmds German Bitters, we wish it to be itiucily understood that we are not speaking ol U nostrums of the day, that are noised about for brief period and tbea forgotten after they have tae their guilty race of mischief, but of a medicine long established, universally prized, and which has ft the hearty approval of the faculty itself." Evidence upon evidence has been received (like tke forezoinel from all sections ol the Union, the lait three years, and the strongest testisnony m Us .. .v' v 5. mor. f it used in the arse- juers7 jf ij a sal LUaw - " r tie. of the recular physicians of Philadelphia, than all ther nostrums combined a tact tbat ean a easily established, and fully proving that a scien tiac preparation will meet with their quiet approval when presented even in this form. That this medicine will cure Liver Complaint and Dyspepsia.no one can doubt, after using it as directed. SO certain is the fact that Dr. Little's Ver mifuge will relieve children from worms, if they have them, that hundred ef families saw do ot pretend to do without it. It ia aleo trne, that children are frequently physicked far several dsys, without mooh improvement ; when this remedy has been weed they have gotten veil isaaacdialdy. Far all bowel complaints the Vermifuge ia az cells nt. and if st all dependent on worm a, as it aft en is, it is a sure core at once. When children are pale or Ian gnid, attended with the usual symptams of bad health, uothiojt more is necessary than to give this remedy a few timea in order to restore them. I ne following statements have just been received: Amiiicus, Mat, 1849. As I have used Dr. Little's Vermifoge in my fam ily, I take pleasure in sayiag I have found it to be a most excellent remedy nr worms. In one case it caused the expulsion of forty-two, some of them were over a foot long. JONATlAJf StaNFOBD. Having used Dr. Little's Vermifuge, I am enabled to say, that it is a very excelleut remedy to cure children of worms. (Signed) Wa B. Guesar. When a child is loaded with worms, or prostra ted with their effects, it is not always safe, by any means, to give caiomei, oewuso u excites too mucn action, and, together with the displacement of the worms, will often sink a child before much else can be doue for it. Ou tbe other hand my Vermifuge is perfectly safe, and produces no such excitement, is much more destructive to worms, and at the same lime gradually expels thata. Talbot County, Sep., 184S. Da. Little Sir : Iu a few cuses, 1 hove given your Vermifuge to children when they were puny, bad breath, enlarged abdomen, fever occasionally, fcc., and the result was, they soon got well, although no worms were discharged oiviuv this medicine occasionally, I fiad, makes children more healthy. ON Monday, the 15th of December next, ut the Court House door, in the town of Oxford, I shall sell by public auction, to tbe highest bidder, the bouse and lot iu said town, with tbe lands thereto attached, for many years owned and occupied by Thomas B. Littlejsha, Esq, It is not often that property so valuable and de sirable is offered for sale. The improvements con sist of a large well built two story dwelling house, kitchens, duiries, offices, ice noose, granary, carriage house, a large falling gnrden, and all the other fix tures, that usually belong to a well improved resi dence in town or country. The dwelling house is 56 by 40, with four good rooms, and 13 feet passages on each floor, four rooms in the basement and two in the garreit; and is situated in the midst ef a beau tiful grove of forest trees of four or five seres in ex tent. There is no situation in this part of the coun try, which combines more advantages, as a resi dence, whether the object be elegance or comfort, or both together. Though not more than two hun dred and fifty yards from the Court House, it is as quiet and retired as a residence in the country. Attached to tbe improved lots, there is a farm, of some 120 or 130 acres, watered, aud in good condi tion, with S or 10 acres well adapted for meadow land. At any time before the sale, I will take pleasure' in showing the premises to any one desiring to pur chase. Terms of Sale.
