Their pon-er orer the above diseatet is not excelled, xf equalled by any other preparntiM in the Untied State, as the cures attest, in many cases after siU ful physicitns had failed. These Bitters are worthy the attention of invalids. Possessing great virtues in the rectification of dis eases of the Lier aud lesser gl.-mda, exercising the most searching powers in weaknesses and affections of the digestive organs, they are withal, safe, cer tain, and pleasant. READ AND BE CONVINCED. From the "Boston Bee." The Editor Dec. 2J. 4Dr HooHnniT s Celebrated German Bitters, for the ore of Liver Cowplxint, Jaundice, Dyspepsia, Chronic or Nervous Debility, is deservedly one of the most popular medicines of the Jay. These Bit ters hive been ued by thousands, and a friend at ur elbow says he has himself received an effectual and permanent cur of Liver Complaint from the use of this remedy We are convinced that, in the use of these Bitters, the patient constantly gains strength and vigor, a fact worthy ot great consider ation They are pleasant in time and smell, and can be used by persons with the most delicate stomachs with sfty, under any circumstance. We are speaking from experience, and te the af flicted we advise their use." "Scott's Wxexlt," one of the best Literary papers published, said, August 25 uDr. Hoojland's German Bitters, manufactured by Dr. Jackson, are now recommended by some of the most promiuent members of tbe faculty, as no article of mach efficacy in eaee of female weakness As such is the ease we would advise all mothers to ebtaiu a bottle and thus save themselves much sick les. Persona of debilitated constitutions will find tbrse Bitter advantageous to their health as we know from experieocc the salutary effect that they hive opon weak systems." Judge M. M. Noati, a gentleman of great liter ary and scientific attainments, said io his u New York Weekly Mewn.-et, Jinuary 6. 1850. " Dr HoflamTs German Bitters. Here is a pre paration which the leading press-s in the Union appear to be ananimous in recommending, and the reason is obvious. It is made after a proscription furnished by one of the most celebrated physicians r modern times, the late Dr Christopher Wilhelm llooflxnd. Profe.sor to the University of Jena, Pri vate Physician to the King of Prussia, and one af tbe greatest medical writers Germany has ever pro duced He was emphatically the enemy of humbug, and therefore a medicine of which he was tbe in venter and endorser may be confidently relied on. He specially recommended it ia Liver Complaint, Dyspepsia, Debility, Vertigo, Acidity of the Stom ach, Constipation and all complaints arisiug from a disordered condition of the stomach, the Liver and the intestines. Nine Philadelphia papers express their conviction of its excellence, and several of the editors peak of its effects from their own individ ual experience. Under these circumstances we feel warranted, not only in calling the attention of oar readers to the present proprietors (Dr. C. M Jack son's) preparation, but in recommending the article to all afflicted." MORE EVIDENCE. The 'Philadelphia Saturday Gazette, the best family newspaper published in the Uuitetl States, the editor says of DR. HOOFLAND'S GERMAN BITTERS. " It ia seldom that we recommend what ars termed Patent Medicines to the confidence and patronage of our readers; and, therefore, when w reeommead Dr Hoefland's German Balers, we wish it to be distinctly understood that w are not speaking' of the nostrums of the day, that are noised about for brief period and then forgotten alter they have done their guilty race of mischief, but of a medicine long established, universally prized, and which has Bet the hearty approval of the faculty itself." Evidence upon evidence ha been received (li:e the foregoing) from all sections 01 the Union, the last three years, and the strongest testimony in its 2it, is, that there is more of it used in the prac t' of the regular physicians of Philadelphia, than all ether n oat rams combined a fact that can be asily established, and fally proving that a scien tific preparation will meet with their quiet approval when presented even io this form. That tbis medicine will cure Liver Complaint and Dyspepsia.no one can doubt, after using it as directed. It acts specifically upon tbe siomash and liver; it is preferable to calomel in all bilious dis eases ; the effect is immediate. They can b ad ministered to female or infant with safety and reliable benefit, at any time. BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS. This medicine has attained that high character "which ia necessary for all medicines to attain, to induce counterfeiters ts put forth a spurioas article at the risk of the lives of those who are innocently deceived. LOOK WELL TO THE MARKS OF THE GENUINE. They have the written signature of C. W. JACK SON upon the wrapper, and tbe name blown in tbe bottle, without xhick they art spurious.
