CONSTANT IMAGININGS OF EVIL, AND GREAT DEPRESSION OF SPIRITS ; CAN BE EFFECTUALLY CURED, BY Celebrated German Bitters PREPARED BY Dr. C. 11. Jackson, AT THE GERMAN MEDIC I.VE STORE, No, 120, Arch Street, Philadelphia. Thtir porter over the above disease is net excelled, xj equalled by any other preparation in the United States, as the cures attest, in many cases after skil ful physicians had failed. These Bitters are worthy the attention of invalids. Possessing great virtues in the rectification of dis taces of the Liver aud lesser glands, exercising the most searching powers in weaknesses and affections of the digestive organs, they are withal, safe, cer tain, and pleasant. READ AND BE CONVINCED. From the "Boston Bee." The Editor said. Dec 22d. ' Dr HooHancPs Celebrated German Bitters, for the care of Liver CompUint, Jaan lice, Dyspepsia. Chronic or Nervous Debility, is deservedly one of the most popular medicines of the day. These Bit ters have been used by thousands, and a friend at eur elbow says he has himself received an effectual and perminmt car of Liver CompUint from the use of this remedy We are convinced that, in the use of these Bitters, the patient constantly gains strength and vijror, a fact wortny of great consider ation They are pleasant in taste and smell, and can be used br persons with the most delicate stomachs with safety, under any circumstances. We are speaking from experience, and te the af flicted we advise thifir use." "Scott's WsttLr," one of the best Literary tapers published, said, Anrust io " Dr. HooflancTs German Bitters, manufactured by Dr. Jackson, are now recommended by some of the most prominent members of the Ucalty, as ao article of much efficacy in case of female weakness As such is the case, we would advise all mothers to btain a bottle aud thus save themselves much sick ness. Persous of debilitated constitutions will find th'se Bitters advantageous to their health as we know frem experience the salutary effect that they have upon weak systems." Judge M. M. Noah, a gentleman of great liter ary and scientific attainments, said in his u New York WeeWlv Messenger, January 6. 1850. "Dr. Hoand 's German Btttcrs. Here is a pre paration which the leading presses in the Union appear to be unanimous in recommending, and the reason is obvious. It is made after a proscription furnished by one of the most celebrated physicians 'if modern times, the late Dr Christopher Wilhelm Hoofliad. Professor to the University of Jena, Pri vate Physician to the King of Prussia, and one of the greatest medical writers Germany has ever pro duced. He was emphatically the enemy of humbug. aod therefore a medicine of which he was the iu veoter and endorser may be confideutly relied on. He specially recommended it ia Liver Complaint, Dyspepsia, Debility, Vertigo, Acidity of the Stom ach, Constipation and all complaints arising from a disordered condition of the stomach, the Liver and the intestines. Nine Philadelphia papers express their conviction of its excellence, and several of the edi-ors peak of its effects from their own individ ual experience. Under these circumstances we feel warranted, not ouly in calling the atteotion of our readers to the present proprietor's (Dr. C. M Jack son's) preparation, but in recommeading the article to all afflicted." MORE EVIDENCE. The 'Philadelphia Saturday Gazette, the best family newspaper published in the United States.1 the editor says of DR. H00FLAND'8 GERMAN BITTERS. M It is seldom that we recommend what are termed Patent Medicines to the confidence and patronage of our readers: and, therefore, when we recommead T)r Hfld'i. German Bitters, we wish it to be distinctlv understood that We are not speaking- ol the nostrums of the day, that are noised about for a hriaf teriod and then forgotten after they Have done their n-uiltv race of mischief, but of a medicine long established, universally prixed, and which has met the hearty approval of the faculty itself." F.vi.inc noon evidence has been received (like the foregoing) from all sections ol the Union, the 1 i.t three veara. and the strongest testimony ta Us a ia that there ia more of it used in the prse- tieof the rerular physicians of Philadelphia, than .11 tber nostrums combined a fact that can be easily established, and fally proving that a scien tific preparation will meei wim meir quiet approval When presented even in this form. That this medicine will cure Liver Complaint and Dyspepsia.no one can doubt, after using it as directed. It act specifically upon the stomaeh and i;.r- it is Dreferable to calomel in all bilious dis- th effect is immediate. They can be ad ministered to female or infant with safety and reliable benefit, at any time. BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS. This medicine has attained that high character which is necessary for all medicines to attain, to indnce counterfeiters te put forth a spurious article at the risk of the lives of tnose wno are mnoceuuy deceived.
