" Dr. Hoofiumfs German Bitters, manufactured
by Dr Jackson, are now recommended by some of
the most promiuent members of the faculty, as ao
article of much efficacy ia case of female weakness
As such is tbe case, we would advise all soothers to

Bess. Persous of debilitated constitutious will find
these Bitters advantageous lo their health as we
know from experience the salutary enect thai they
have upon weak systems."
Judge M. M. Noah, a gentleman of great liter
ary, aud scientific attainments, said iu his '-New
tork weekly M e.en2er, January 6. lSD'J.
Dr. Holland's German Bitters. Here is a pre
paration which the leading presses ia the Union
appear to be oaauimoas in recommending, and the
reason is obvious. It is made after a proscription
furnished by one of the most celebrated physicians
f m dern tiroes, the late Dr Christopher Wilhelm
Hooflaad, Professor to the University of Jena, Frt
rate Physician to the Kin? of Prassi a, and one of
the greatest medical writers Germany has ever pro
duced He was emphatically the enemy of humbug.
and therefore a medicine of which he was the n-
renter and endorser may be confidently relied on.
He specially recommended it ia Liver Complaint,
Dyspepsia, Debility, Vertigo, Acidity of the tftouv
acb, Constipation and all complaints arising from a
disordered condition of the stomach, tha L.iver and
the intestine. Nine Philadelphia papers express
their conv'n tion of its excellence, aud several of the
eliiors peak of its effects from their own individ
ual experience. Uuder these oircumstancea we feel
Warranted, not ouly in calling the atteation of our
readers to the present proprietor's (Dr. C. M Jack
son's) reparation, hut in recommending the article
to all afflicted."

SMUT AND. SCREENING MACHINE
The only Machine of the kind that has stood the
test and given satisfaction to the public It has
surplahred erery Smut Machfue yet offered in the
State, more or less of which have been taken down to
make room for it. The public need fear no imposi
tion, ss there are now some 230 Machines running
in Piorth Uarolioa ; na I wish to offer no other
references than the gentleoeu who are using them,
whose expectations have been more than realised lo
their performance. It not only thoroughly cleanses
the Wheat of Smut, bet also purines it of all ether
substances, almost to perrection. It takes up but 4
teet square in tbe mill and requires but little pow
er. It is warranted lor five years against breaking
or weariug out, ana also to retain its cleaastug qual
ities for that time.
There are a number of these Machines through
which 100,000 bushels of Wheal have been cleans
ed and they have never urea out of order one d.iy.
There was awarded to it the Premium of the Ma
