At the head of them stands the Oonnkcticut Mutttal. Jam Tbu opmiwnyluw grown', to be one of great magnitude its contributing members or policy bolders now numbering ttity thousand. Tliis gives it the pre-eminence of ling numerically the largest fe Iniuranee Company in the United plates. IU age is only about twenty years, but it has accumulated a capital of nearly jSevn MtUuH of DvlUtr: Not only as to numbers does it stand foremost in the country araon its contemporar es, but iu " Total Aunnal lucome" is larger than any other company. I,t veat this mcomc amounted to the urn of $G,50J,62 7. Coin ared with the next highest.it exceeds it by near ly half a million. ; Indeed, tliis company has ar rived at that extraordinary condition where the annual inwtnefryin inkrett alone w sufficient to payallitslmes. . Next to the magnitude and success of this rotmttny, and among other attractive features is that of anticipating dividends in early deaths ior insUace, should a 'eison insured in it to-day ?5, ,"00u (r f o" larger or suudler sum, die to-morrow, he would receive a dividend of 60 per cent, on the premium paid, thus reducing at ouce the cost of insurance one-half for the whole amount stipulated lor. The notes would be can celled, and the f.OUu wou d all be paiit i CORPORATIONS. The plain, common sense people in our country cannot fail to see the difference between a Pro priejtarir or Stock Life Insurance Company, and one Uke thb Connecticut Mutual. The former is ri01'011 an4 coatrvils at ill the entire cap Ital aud assets, and can vote all t. e money into their own pockets f they see tit. The latter is purely mutual in its structure, and every dollar of Jts iuuueuae fund Iwiongs to the mcmiwrs and no one ele. ,'Tis nupoBs ble Uiat die t'oriner can ray as hirKo dividends as the latter, for th nm- pr.etors or stockholders first of all will have their share of the proiits, and no hkiuII share either ) and supposing t' e protiis of U)th Compauies just wjual, it is readily seen that the dividends of the Mutual Company, to be distributed among its members, mtut Ihj' larger than those of the for mer!, as indeed heretofore they have rxen and will continue to be. The diifeeenee between tlje Sto-k and Mutual Company can but be apparent to ' very reader. Jhe superior salety and larger lienerit of the latt Jt cannot for a moment be ques tioned. READ THIS. " I've been thinking I would get mv life insur ed," said fricud B., to me one eveuing. " It seems a great deal to pay out jast now, when business is so dull, and then 1 think possibly it may be rather hard to nieet the payments." Oh, practice a little extra economy, 'I said, "and vou can meet them." "Well. OBJECTION ANSWERED Some persons fobject to Life Insurance because, as they say, it divests thorn, or anv one else, of the use of their money until their death. This is not so. The Conn. Mutual Life Inb. Co has prepared a table of rates, enabling it to issue policies payable fto the insured tmrty himself, or f his family, unite yet alice, on his attaining the age of 40, 4., . or 60; or in case of his deatn at any time prior to his attaining the stipulated age, the amount of policy and profits are at once paid over to his fieim. This is better in some re spects than a joint policy on " two lives, as the monev may lie paid, and great comfort derived from its use.inaay years before the death of either nartv. ! t " 15c it refiemlicrcd that the email sum of ten cents a da1", Wived and invested in the Conn. Mutual, will sccare to the roung man of 21 years a Life l'olicv of 4,O00 dollars; for the same in the prime of life, aged 36 years, it will secure a Ule Policv of 2,500 dbllars. Rememlier the small sum of ten cents a 4ay saved, will do this only one cigar less for the young man. j S. D. WAIT,, Gen. Agt. 23-tf f Raleigh, N. Our Physician's remedies brought no relief. She was advised to try your Rosadalis, as a tonic which she did imagine my surprise and gratifi cation, when I found her appetite returning.
