'T'HAT Pittsburgh, Pa., woman who at 68 is studying her ABC’s must have been con sumed with curiosity over those new vitamins which are always popping up. * « • In China, roses are used as much for foiod as for decoration. "A rose by any other name” is spinach to them. * * • The log cabin is regaining its popularity in Arkansas. Which is strange, because that ‘‘log cabin childhood” story was neglected in the last campaign. * * • We wonder if that Everett, Mass., man who worked on a “temporary” job for 60 years has ever considered looking for steady work. 0*0 It might be said of that Villach, Austria, woman who tried 16 times to commit suicide that she would do anything to attain her end. j. C. State college extension service. i In some parts of the country, more i tractors will be put into operation i as the number of horses and mules 1 ontinues to decline, the report said, ►ut there are large areas where Iraft animals will be used almost j xclusively for years to come. North Cc-roLna is one of the, tates where most of the farming iperations can be done better with vork stock than With tractors, say pecialists of the extension serv ce. For this reason they are encour-; iging farming to breed and raise, nore horses and mules both for iome use and for sale.
