USED AUTO PARTS 'FORMERLY CLINE'S Vocational Schools Study Gets Underway By LYNN NISBET - 'LEIGH, July 18. —(JP)— The commission authorized by the last general assembly and recently ap pointed by Governor Cherry to study the need and recommend location of regional vocational schools in the state held its organization meeting Tuesday and mapped a program for itself, including appointment of several sub-committees. The commission approached the issue from the angle that many re turning soldiers and other high school graduates who could not go to college, yet needed training for some special vocation. The schools when established will be under con trol of the State Board of Educa tion, an integral part of the public school system, but will be designed to equip young men and women for earning a living rather than just to enter college. First duty of the commission will be to make a survey of the need and prospects for meeting it. This survey will necessarily cost money, which must come from the contingency and emergency fund. As a prelimi nary a special subcommittee will es timate the cost and apply to the governor and council of state for the necessary funds.
