New Store New Firm,
NEWG00DS!
ALL the goods belonging to the late Firm of J. i
W. Murphy havin been sold out at Auction, a
new firm has been formed with a capital of 30,000,
all of which has been invested in the Northern Markets
for new goods ; and the said firm are now receiving and
opening at the large brick store formerly occupied by
J. In W. Murphy, direct from Philadelphia and New
York, an entirely new stock of
FRESH GOODS:
Consisting of French, English, German, Scotch, and
American Drytloods ; Hardware, Cutlery, Queensware,
HATS, BONNETS, BOOTS, SHOES,
BOOKS, COMBS,
Plated and Saddlery Hardware,
Carriage Trimmings,
- Carpenters' Tools,
And all kinds of GROCERIES and all
other hind of GOODS. i
We wish to be understood, (not blowing and bragging)
that we speak the truth when we say thai we are open
ing at this time ' .
THE LARGEST STOCK OF
NEW GOODS
that has ever been opened in this place ; and as for
beauty and style the ladies say we have the prettiest and
cheapest they have yet seen.i And why should they not
say so, when our goods are all entirely new and all
bought for cash and such a large quantity of them.
We deem it entirely unnecessary to enumerate all
the articles composing our stock, as it has become too
fashionable for persons to advertise three or four times
as much as they actually have. But suffice it; to say,
that we have a well assorted' stock of all kinds of Goods
of every description ; and that they are all paid for, and
paid for with our own money, With all these advan
tages we think we can safely say that we will sell them
a little lower than any of our neighbors, and we would
'merely say to one and all to give us a call, hear prices,
examine for yourselves and be your own judges.
. Most Respectfully,
WILLIAM MURPHY, & Co.
