Harrod's nam fey old Diono-de, Ins grandam by old Bellair, hi g. graiulain by the imported Sir Harry. Muckle John's dam by I i Collector, his grandam by the old imported Citizen, his g. grandam by the impotted Union, hisg. g. grandam by the imported Buckskin. It is unnecessary to trace him further, as the above is suffi cient to give him a pedigree not surpassed by any horse in the country. REMARKS. If any unprejudiced indi vidua), or one who U willing to do justice, will examine particularly the many ood crosses both of imported and American tock, with which MUCKLE JOHN is so deeply tinctured, they must arrive to the conclusion that the whole of the ingredi ents are perfectly compatible, and that he in the whole entirely free or destitute of the least particle of adulteration. His pedigree alone is sufficient to give him a character, without the high authorities of respectable sportsmen, or thoehoaie well acquainted with the most genuine Racing block. Capt. Harrison, of Virgi nia, who is well known throughout the l-nion as one w ho has endeavored to im- rove the stock of horses in this country, nnd who has owned and had in possession those of the greatest reputation, pronoun ces Muckle John to be made up of the best crosses of any horse now in America. The following are his words: "It is wiih much pleasure that I can say, and which ! have lur some time believed, that Bullock's Muckle John should not stand second to any hoise in America, for never was one in possession of more of the genuine stuff, viz: Archie, Collector, Citizen, Lc. fcc" Black Kite it is true has been beaten and so has Southerner, they have also on the other hand as can be seen by an examina tion into the Turf Register, been success ful. As evidence that they are valuable race horses, eight thousand dollars have been offered for them and refused. Muckle John hag had but three colls carried to the Turf and all have proven to be good rnce l'orses, possing both the essentials of speed and game. If the people of this country should ever feel disposed to improve iheir fctock of horses, particularly thoe of the racing character, they can never have the privilege of so doing at a more propitious period than that of accepting the present favorable opportunity.
