DISEASE A UNIT, Impurity of the BLOOD Ihe only Disease. "0V simple, yet how wise, how good and beautiful are all the laws of na ture? Simplicity and truth are stamped upon every law of the creation. The mighty worlds which roll in space in every degree of velocity and direction are all governed by ATTRACTION OF MATTER TO MAT I'EU. This principle governs the human bo dy. Rrandi elis lri get able Universal Pills attract all impurities of the blood to the bowels, which organ expels ihfm fiomthe bod)'. Attraction and disease are boih units. All accidents or infec tions only a fleet the body in proportion as they occasion impurity of the blood. The bowels for instance are co-live this most important organ is closed the consequence is a srreat accumulation of impurities, which, as they cannot get out by their usual p.issage, are forced into the blood, occasioning impurity of blood. Thus, Fevers, Cholics, Rheumatism, Coughs, and Colds are often produced But let Brandreth's Pills be Used in such doses as will effectually evacuate the bow els, and health is restored at once. Hot weather, by occasioning debility produces impurity of blood ; from which arises Dysentary, Cholera Morbus, cramps in the bowels, feebleness, tfriin in the back and hip joints, headache, &c, &c These ui. pleasant companions are speedi Jy removed by a lew doses ol Brandreth's Pills, which soon restore health by puri fying the blood. Grief, great anxieties of mind, much watching, fear, bad food, intemperance, residence near marshy land, tend in a ve ry powerful degree to promote impurity ol the blood, which soon shows itself in Erysipelas, consumption, epileptic fits, appoplexy, scurVy, lever and ague, de rangement of the stomach and bowels, all which symptoms will soon be removed by purifying the blood with the Bran dreth Pills. Small pox. scarlet fever, putrid fevers, even spotted fever, and fevers of all kinds are propagated only by those whose blood is in a stale of impurity; the-e maladies are mild or virulent according us the blood be charged with impurities pre vious to the infection being received, and never attack those whoe blood is in a state of purity. The Brandreth Pills, by jpurifying the blood, soon cure these mal adies; in fact the Pills go at once to col lect all the causes of these complaints, which are brought by their health restor ing powers to the bowels, and so removed out of the body, leaving the blood pure and healthy. Fracture, bruises, &e. &c, ptoduee im purity of the blood by occasioning a de rangement of the general health. If Brandreth Pills are not used so as to pre vent an accumulation of humors in the bowels, these humors pass into the blood, and soon find their way to the weak part, i. e. the local injury, and are likely soon to produce infiimmalion, often mortifica tion of the part. Whereas, iveie i tie Brandreth Pills used daily altn any inju ry had been done to the body, uolhing would go to the injuied pari but what was necesary for its perfect restoration. Olten when a bone has been broken and this advice has been followed, ii has got well in a quarter the uual time. It would be well for those exposed to d ingers to consider this subj' ct, its adoption might s:ve their bodies from mutilations, might save their lives. Ulcers are produced by impurity of the blood; the part where it breaks out had in days gone by been injured, and therefore its powers of life could not repel the im purity of the blood when it settled upon it. Soon the acidity or secrocity exco riates the fibres and opens the ulcers. Here we have a drain or outlet opened for the bad humors, for the impurity of the blood to pass out of the body. Salves and all kinds of. applications are applied to it, but it dou'i get well. Bui let Bran dreth's Pills be used, say four or sjx 0j them to be taken: dairy, ihe Pills will open another drain, i, e. the bowels; the bad humors contained in the blood wiit thus be discharged from the body by their na tural outlet, and none will be lelt to keep up the irritation and burning in the ulcer and it will get well. In like manner are white swellings unnatural enlargements liver complaints, gravel, salt rheum, dis ease of the prostrate gland, cured by ab Slracting with the Brandreth Pills the ;uriiies irom the blond. Alt .. Vjnodo not feel well should use thee Pills: No man was ever sick long whose blood was k?p pure. No man can be in good health it hrs blood be impure. Attract then' the impurities f vour blood to your boweiswiih Biundreih'niH and you will be as sti'ong and heahhy as (he life within you is capable of sustaining A ..... " . . E VANS' SOOTHING SYilULJ For childrtn Teething, PREPARED BY HIMSELF. To Mothers and Nurses. FJTl H E passage of the Teeth through the gums produces troublesome and dan gerous symptoms. It is known by moth ers that there is great irritation in the mouth and gums during this process. The gums swell, the secretion of saliva is in creased, the child is seized with frequent and sudden fits of crying, watchings, start ing in the sleep, and spasms of peculiar parts, the child shrieks with extreme vio lence, and thrusts its fingers into its mouth. If these precursory symptoms are not spee dily alleviated, spasmodic convulsions uni versally supervene, and soon cause the dissolution of the infant. If mothers who have their little babes afilicted with these distressing symptoms, would apply Dr. W illiam Evans's Celebrated Sooth'nm Syrup, which has preserved hundreds of infants when thought past recoverv, from being suddenly attacked with that fatal malady, convulsions. This infallible remedy has preserved hundreds of Children, when thought past recovery, from convulsions. As soon as the Syrup is rubbed on the gums, the child w ill recover. This preparation is so in nocent, so efficacious, and so pleasant, that no child will refuse to let its crnms he t o rubbed with it. When infants are at the age of four months, though there is no ap pearance of teeth, one bottle of the Syrup should be used on the gums, to open the pores. Parents should never be without the Syrup in the nursery where there are young children; for if a child wakes in the night with pain in the gums, the Syrup immediately givesease by open ing the pores arid healing the gums; there by preventing Convulsions, Fevers, S:c. To the Agent of Dr. Evans' Soothing Syrup: Dear Sir The great benefit afforded to my suffering infant by your Soothing Syrup, in a case of protracted and painful dentition, must convince every feeling parent how essential an early ap plication of such an invaluable medicine is to relieve infant misery and torture. My infant, while teething, experienced srich acute sufferings, that it was attacked with convulsions, and my wife and family sup posed that death would soon release the babe from anguish (ill vtfe procured a bot tle of your Syrnp; which as soon as ap plied to the gums a wonderful change was produced, and after a few applications the child displayed obvious relief, and by con tinuing in its use. I am glad to inform you, the child has completely recovered, and no recurrence of that awful complaint has since occurred; the teeth are emana ting daily and the child enjoys perfect health. I giveyou my cheerful permission to make this acknowledgment public, and will gladly give any Fnformatiou on this circumstance. When children begin to be in pain with their teeth, shooting in their gums, put a little of the Syrup in a tea-spoon, and with the finger let the child's gums be rubbed for two or three minutes, three limes a day. ft must not be put to the breast immediately, for the milk would take the syrup off too soon. When the teeth are just coming through their gums, mothers should immediately apply the sy rup; it will prevent the children having a fever, and undergoing that painful opera tion of lancing the gums, which always makes the tooth much harder to come through, and sometimes causes death." Vegetable Life Pills And Plicnix Hitters. npHESE Medicines are indebted for -- their riariie to their manifest and sen: sible action in purifying the springs and channels of life, and enduing them with renewed tone and vigor, and to the un doubted fact that at a very early period in their history they had rescued sufferers from the very verge of an untimely grave" :ifler all the deceptive nostrums of t,e day, prescribed by physicians, had utter ly failed, iu which cases they also perma nently secured that uniform enjoyment of health, without which life itself is but a partial blessing. So great indeed had their efficacy invariably proved, that it was scarcely less than miraculous to those who were unacquainted with the beauti fully philosophical principles upon which they were compounded and upon which they consequently act. The following are among the distress ing variety of human diseases, to which Tlie Vegetable Life Pills Are well known to be infallible: DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleans ing the first and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pure healthy bile, in stead of the stale and acrid kind: Flatu lency, Palpitation of the heart, Loss of appetite, heart burn and headache, rest lessness, ill temper, anxitty, lunguor and melancholy, which are the general symp toms of Dyspepsia, will vanish as a natural consequence of its cure. Costiveness, by cleansing the whole length of the intes tines with a solvent process and without violence) all violent purges leave the bowels costive within two days. Diarr heca and cholera, by removing the sharp acrid fluids by which these complaints are occasioned, and by promoting the Iubri cative secretions of the mucous mem brane. Fevers of all hinds, by restoring the blood to a regular circulation through the process of perspiration in some cases; and the Uiorough solution of all intestinal obstructions in others. The Life Medicines Have been known to cure Rheumatism permanently in three weeks, and Gout in half that time, by removing local Inflam mation from the muscles and ligaments of the joints. Dropsies oj all kinds, by free ing and strengthening the kidneys and bladder; they operate riiost delightfully on those important organs, and hence have ever been found a certain remedy for the worst cases of rat;e. Also Worms, by dislodging from ihe turnings of the bowels the slimy matter to which these creatures adhere; Asthma and consump tion, by relieving the air vessels of die lungs from the mucus, which even slight colds will occasion,' which if not removed beeoirjes hardened; and produces those (iieadiul diseases. Scurvy, Ulcers, and inveterate Sores, by the fefsci purtiy which these Life Pills give to the blood,' and all the humors; Scorbutic Eruptions and bad cornpleiions, by their alterative effect upon the fluids that feed ihe s-kui.the uiorbid state of which occasions all Erup tive complaints, sallow, cloudy, and other disagreeable complexions. The use of these pills for a very short lime, will effect an entire cure of Salt rheuih'. ErysiptUs, and ai striking improvement in the clear ness of ifie skin. Comuion colds and Influ enza, will always be cured by one dosp, or by two, even in the worst cases. PiV -as a remedy for this most distressing & obstinate malady, the Vegetable Life PtH ries'erve a distinct and emphatic recom mendation. It is well known to nuiidreds" in the city of New York, that the origina tor of these invaluable Pilli was himself afflicted with this complaint fdr upwards of thirty five years, and that he tried in vain every remedy prescribed within the whole compass of the Materia Medical He however, at length, tried the Medicine which he now offers in the public, and he was cured in a very short time, after hrs recovery had been pronounced not only improbable, but absolutely impossi bie, by auy h:nfna'n means. All that Mr. Moffat retires of Ins Pa; lienis is to be particular in taking the tile Medicines strictly according to the direc tions. It rs not by a newspaper notice,' of by any thing that he himself may say m their favor, that he hopes to gain credit. l is alone by the results of ar fair trial.
