DISEASE A UNIT, Impurity of the BLOOD the only Dis ease. HOW simple, yet how wise how good and beautiful are all the laws of na ture? Simplicity and truth are stamped upon every law of the Creation. The mighty worlds which roll in space in every degree of velocity and direction are all governed by ATTRACTION OF MATTER TO MATTER. This principle governs the human bo dy. Rrandreth's Vigelablz UniVirsul Pills attract all impurities of the blood to the bowels, which organ expels them from the body. Attraction and disease are both units. All accidents or infefc .tions only affect the body in proportion as they occasion impurity of the blood. The bowel for instance are costive this most important organ is closed thte consequence is a great accumulation of impurities, which, as they cannot get out by their usual passage, arte lorced into the blood, occasioning impurity of blood. Thus, Fevers-, Cholics, Rheumatism, Coughs, and Cold's are often produced. But let Brandreth's Pills be used in such doses as will effectually evacuate the bow "els, and health is restored at once. HoVvveather, by occasioning debility produces impurity of blood; from which Arises Dyse'ntary, Cholera Morbus, cramps I'd. the bowels, feebleness, nain in the bafck and hip joints, headache, &., &c. These unpleasant companions are speedi ly removed by a few doses of Brandreth's Pills, which soon restore health by puri Tying the blood. Grief, great anxieties of mind, much watching, fear, bad food, intemperance, 'residence near marshy land, tend in a ve ly powerlul degree to promote impurity bf the blood, which soon shows itself in 'Erysipelas, consumption, epileptic fits, appoplexy, scurvy, lever and ague, de langement of the stomach and bowels, all 'which symptoms will soon be removed by purifying the blood with the Bran- Mreth Pills. Small pox. scarlet fever, putrid fevers, 'even spotted fever, and fevers of all kinds are propagated only by those whose blood is in a state of impurity; thee maladies are mild or virulent according as the blood be charged with impurities pre vious to the infection being received, and 'never attack those whose blood is in a state of purity. The Brandreth Pills, by 'purifying the blood, soon cure these mal adies; in fact the Pills go at once to col lect all the causes of these complaints, which are brought by their health restor ing powers to the bovvels, andso removed out of the body, leaving the blood pure and healthy. Fracture, bruises, &c. &c, ptoduce im purity of the blood by occasioning a de rangement of the general health. If Brandreth Pills are uot used so as to pre vent an accumulation of humors in the bowels, these humors pass into the blood, and soon find their way to the weak part, i. e. the local injury, and are likely soon to produce inflammation, often mortifica tion of the part. Whereas, were the Brandreth Pills used daily alterany inju ry had been done to the body, uothing .would go to the injured part but what was necessary for its perfect restoration. Olten when a bone has been broken and this advice has been followed, it has got well in a quaiter the uual time. It would be well for those exposed to dangers to consider this subj ci, its adoption might save iheir bodies from mutilations, might Save their lives. Ulcers are produced by impurity of the blood; the part where it breaks out had in days gone by been injured, and therefore its powers of life could not repel the im purity of the blood when it settled upon it. Soon the acidity or secrocity exco riates the fibres and opens the ulcers. Here we have a drain or outlet opened for the bad humors, for the impurity of the blood to pass out of the body. Salves and all kinds of applications are applied to it, but it don't get well. But let Bran drelhs Pills be used, say four or six ol them to be taken daily, the Pills will open another drain, i. e. the bowels; the bad humors contained in the blood will thus be discharged from the body by their na tural outlet, and none will be lei! to keep up the irritation and burning in the ulcer, and it will get well. In like manner ari white swellings, unnatural enlargements, fivercomplainls. gravel, salt rheum, dis ease of the prostrate gland, cured by ab- .idc.ugwunthe Brandreth Pills the impurities from the blood. All persons wiiv uu ' eei well should use these Pills, ro man Was ever sick long whose blood was kept pure. No man can be in ygood neaun it his blood be impure. For children Teething, PREPARED BY HIMSELF. To Mothers and Nurses. Hp H E passage of the Teeth through the gums produces troublesome and dan gerous symptoms. It is known by moth ers that there is ereat irritation in the mouth and cuius during this process. The gums swell, tne secretion ot saliva is in creased, the child is seized with frequent and sudden fits of crying, watchings, start ing in the sleep, and spasms of peculiar parts, the child shrieks with extreme vio lence, and thrusts its fingers into its mouth. If these precursory symptoms are not spee dily alleviated, spasmodic convulsions uni versally supervene, and soon cause the dissolution of the infant. If mothers who have their little babes afflicted with these distressing symptoms, would apply Dr William Evans's Celebrated Soothing Syrup, which has preserved hundreds o infants when thought past recovery, from being suddenly attacked with that fata malady, convulsions. l ins inia in Die remedy has preserved lunoreds oi uoiidren, when thought past recovery, irom convulsions. As soon as the Syrup is rubbed on the gums, the chih will recover. This preparation is so in nocent, so efficacious, and so pleasant, that no child will refuse to let its crums be rubbed with it. When infants are at the age of four months, though there is no ap pearance of teeth, one bottle of the Syrup should be used on the gums, to open the pores. Parents should never be without the Syrup in the nursery where there are young children; for if a chili wakes in the night with pain in the gums the Syrup immediaiely gives ease by open ing the pores and healing the gums; there by preventing Convulsions, Fevers, Sic. To the Agent of Dr. Evans Soothing Syrup: Dear Sir The great benefit atlorded to my suuering intant by your Soothing Syrup, in a case of protraclei: and painful dentition, must convince every feeling parent how essential an early ap plication of such an invaluable medicine is to relieve infant misery and torture. My infant, while teething, experienced surh acute sufferings, that it was attacked will convulsions, and my wife and family sup posed that death would soon release the babe from anguish till we procured a hot tie of your Syrnp; which as soon as ap plied to the gums a wonderful change was produced, and after a few applications the child displayed obvious relief, and by con tinuing in its use. l am glad to inform you, the child has completely recovered, and no recurrence of that awful complaint has since occurred; the teeth are emana ting daily and the child enjoys perfect health. I giveyou my cheerful permission to make this acknowledgment public, and will gladly give any information on this circumstance. When children begin to be in pain with their teeth, shooting in their gums, put a little of the Syrup in a tea-spoon, and with the finger let the child's gums be rubbed for two or three minutes, three times a day. It must not be put to the breast immediately, for the milk would take the syrup off too soon. When the teeth are just coming through their gums, mothers should immediately apply the sy rup; it will prevent the children having a fever, and undergoing that painful opera tion of lancing the gums, which always makes the tooth much harder to come through, and sometimes causes death. MOFFAT'S Vegetable Life Pills And lMienix Bitters. npHESE Medicines are indebted for their name to their manifest and .... sible action in purifying the springs and i,,ai"itis vi '"c, uu euuuing them with renewed tone and vigor, and to the un. uouotea lact that at a very early period in their history they had rescued sufferers irom me very verge ot an untimely grave after all the deceptive nostrums of the day, prescribed by physicians, had utter ly failed, in which cases they also perroa iienlly secured that uniform enjoyment of health, without which life itself is but a partial blessing. So great indeed had ineir eincacy invariably proved, that it was scarcely less than miraculous to those who were unacquainted with thP ho.,.: fully philosophical principles upon which uiey were compounded, and upon which they consequently act. The following are among the distress ing variety of human diseases, to which The Vegetable Ufe PH1S Are well known to be infallible: DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleans ing the first and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pure healthy bile, in stead of the stale and acrid kind: Flatu lency, Palpitation of the heart, Loss of appetite, heart burn and headache, rest lessness, ill temper, anxiety, languor and melancholy, which are the general syrnp toms of Dyspepsia, will vanish asa natural consequence of its cure. Costiveness, by cleansing the whole length of the intes tines with a solvent process and without violence; all violent purges leave the bowels costive within two days. Diarr haa and cholera, by removing the sharp acrid fluids by which these complaints are occasioned, and by promoting the lubri calive secretions of the mucous mem brane. Fevers of all kinds, by restoring the blood lo a regular circulation through the process of perspiration in some cases, and the thorough solution of all intestinal obstructions in others. The Life Medicines Have been known to enre Rheumatism permanently in three weeks, and Gout in half that time, by removing local inflam mation from the muscles and ligaments of the joints. Dropsies oj all kinds, by free ing and strengthening the kidneys and bladder; they operate most delightfully on those important organs, and hence have ever been found a certain remedy for the worst cases of gravel.
