Among several cases the following is found: An elderly lady, who had been 25 years so afflicted with nervous hypochon dria, debility, &c. that for the last i'mee years she constantly received medical aid from a respectable physician; but the pressure and pain on her heart and breast, and especially in her left side, reuidined immovable, attended at long intervals with weakness in her head and on her mind, keeping her discouraged to under take any thing.
