Mr. Elder is a prominent collector of rare coins, the author of a number of ar ticles on the subject and a student of history. He will build an addi tion to his house for a library and study room which will be one of the most'unique in this country. Funding Bill Passes Bill of Representative Rogers to fund debts of Polk County by issuing bonds has passed the legislature. His Absentee Vote bill was amend ed Wednesday. Gaines Arrest Attracting Attention of Large Papers Artiest of Paul Gaines at request of his father for shooting at Roy Gaines a few days ago was known by the Bulletin a few hours after It happened, but nothing was said about it because this paper tries to avoid the sensational as much as possible. Paul Gaines was-charged with killing his wife and the feet that he was allowed to walk-the streets under bond amazed even some of the Chicago people. A parent’s love is always considered. Mr. Gaines action in sending his sOn back to jail is commended.
