Franklin Little arrived home today from college for the week-end. Mrs. James G.K. McClure of Asheville was a visitor to Tryon today. Hon. Carroll P. Rogers is back from the legislature. Air. Claude Smith has a new car. Air. J. N. Jackson is on business trip in the Carolinas. Polk County is furnishing two recruits for the Spartanburg baseball team. They are Stephenson of Saluda and Amos Foster of Tryon, both pitchers. Local fans are watch ing their progress with enthusiasm. The school dramatic club Thursday had the following program: Story by Sarah Millikin, Recitation, Evelyn Covil; Recitation, Floy Blackwell; Jokes, Frank Brock; Play, “My Dou ble and How Undid Me". Mr. Ingham Donald Wing; Mrs. Ingham, Ella Lee Yates; Dennis, Tip Jervey; Mrs. Jef fries, Ruth Williams; Rev. Mr. Isacs, James Moore. Miss Faye Gibbs of Mars Hill is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. C.
