Baseball Officers Elected
Enthusiastic meeting at City hall last night laid plans for an
active local team this summer. Dr.M.C. Palmer re-elected presi
dent, D. A. Shields manager; Wilkie Capps field manager; G. S.
Stone secretary-treasurer; Seth M. Vining publicity manager. The
first practice will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. Harmon Field. All
intetested are urge to come out for Saturday's practice,

Steeple Chase Meet Saturday
The Riding & Hunt club, Visitors and all Tryonites are in
vited to be guests of the Camden Horse Show Ass’n. Sat
urday, 3 p.m. at their Steeple Chase meet to be run over
the Springfield course, March 22nd. Best route from Try
on to Camden: Tryon to Spartanburg, to Carlisle to Winnsboro to
Camden. Distance 142 miles. Lunch can be had at Inn at Winnsboro
and at Court Inn in Camden. Admission to meet free.
