Flower Show Planned
County Flower Show for Sept. 13, at Columbus courthouse is being
planned by Miss Florence Cox. Everbody invited to participate. Do
nations are now solicited for prizes in addition to the ribbons. If you

Auto Wrecked Near Landrum
A Hudson Sedan owned by Nelson Foster of Asheville
was wrecked when it left the road at the sharp turn just
this side of Moore’s Lumber Co. in Landrum Saturday night
about 12 o’clock. A friend was driving. The car turned on it’s
side and at the same time caught on fire, the men were unhurt
and put the flames out by throwing sand on tfye motor. The Carolina
Auto Service at Tryon was called and the car towed here for repairs.
Singing qt Saluda High School
The Happg Two from Vaughn’s school will sing at
8 p.m. Tuesday night, Aug.s. No admission. Other
singers on program.
