Miniature Goli Exhibition
An exhibition match of Miniature golf players between the champions
of Forest City and Tryon will be played Tuesday night at 8 o'clock at the
Leonard’s Lucky Links in Pacolet Valley. The Forest City players defeated
the Tryon foursome last week in Forest City and the local team is eager
for a home victory. Following the exhibition all players of both teams
will be entertained at the home of Mr. Hume Fraser.
One Week Till School
One week from today and the school bells of Tryon, Lynn and Saluda
will be ringing again. The first Tryon teachers meeting will be held Sat
urday night. This will be busy week, school clothes to buy, books, lunch
boxes and other paraphanalia necessary to school life. The only change
in the Tryon faculty will be that of Mr. Caldwell succeeding Miss Minnie
Lee Fagan.

Hampton Family Reunion
The Hampton family of Polk county held their reunion Sunday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Feagan in Columbus. About 75 relatives
from North and South Carolina, West Virginia and Texas attended the /
meeting. This pioneer family of Polk has been prominent in the develop
ment of this section and their influence is spread over the country.
