Mr. Holme’s good intentions in trying to protect the depositors.
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Holmes, RW.Crandall presided,
.C.P; Rogers, secretary. Talks were made by Messrs. Frank Moore, J. N.
« Jackson, W.S.Green, J.S.Massenburg, L.Afazzandvich, BishopTouret and
Gias, Woodruff. Mr. Holmes conteiided that,the new bank how being
formed was-geeting the use of $27,000 worth of property belonging to
chef stockholders, for.-only .$25 a month. Massenburg refuted this by stat-.
ing that if the liquidation had been taken to Hendersonville we ' would
receive no tent for the bank here, and in addition would pay rent else
