Innkeepers Bridge Party
The Hotel ands Inn Keepers bridge party. Oak Hall
and the Homestead as hosts, will he held Wednesday
night at the Parish House. Progressive, auction and

Attempt to Dynamite Auto
vV Friday afternoon Mr. T. J. Flynn stopped his auto near the
jfoot of Clark mountain while he went in the forest to cut some
wood. When he came back the car wouldn's start Upon inves
tigation he* found that some one had connected a fuse cap and
stick of dynamite to the spark plug wire. t
No Rotary Meeting Friday
The Rotary dub will not meet Friday as usual f but will instead
attend the Annual Chamber of Commerce the same night at
Oak Hall. '
Kiwanis Endorse Check Plan

The 3abson check plan which /is to be started by the Polk County
News this week was endorsed today by the Kiwanis club. These checks
will be used only to pay up debts. In some cities one $lO check has
paid up thousands of dollars worth of debts in a few days. More
