School Bill Introduced
RALEIGH, Jan. 27.-Senator W. K. McLean, of the 27th district, has
introduced a bill in the upper house of the General Assembly, to appoint
the school committee for Green Creek school district in Polk County.
The bill would abolish the annual public election scheduled for the
first Saturday in February; and wodld authorize tne Polk County board
of'education to name the members of the committee, beginning in 1933.
However, the fkst board would be named in the proposed act for two,
four and six years the provisions that the board would name their
successors for s<x-year terms.
