Echoes ©t The Horse Shotc
Tryon Horse and Hound Show again put this community on
the map with publicity and delightful entertainment yesterday.
Over 2,000 people attended representing twenty-two or more
states. The biggest thrill for many was the jumping of one
k horse over another when Sgt. Daniels of |he 109th cavalry
f mounted on Douglas jumped over Damit, -clearing a height of
5 fit. 6 in. Editorial in Spartanburg Herald says:
“The sun broke through and into the valley of the Pacolet in
time for the Tryon horse show to be held under favorable con- *
ditions. The best horses and the largest crowd rewarded efforts
of the organization and delighted the fanciers. It is quite evi
dent that there is a returning and a growing interest on the'
part of the public in the saddle-horse and the hunter. Establish
ments devoting themselves to breeding and training such
horses, have faith in the future of their business. The show
was a decided success.” >.
