He said that the school bill that was" enacted in the past session was a logical one at this time. The Senator explained that his purpose was to lower taxes. * Interesting Dairy Meeting Tuesday F. R. Farnham, state dairy specialist of Raleigh addressed the local dairymen yesterday at M. C. Butler’s. Every dairyman in the community was there. Valuable information was given that would have been of benefit to every cow owner. Some of this information will be given you ' from time to time. Mr. Artz is doing a great work for the county in bringing different specialists here and giving us the benefit of the best information possible to solve our local problems. It is significant that those who knew most about cows and milk production were there. Whitesides-Edwards Marriage » Mr. Joe Whitesides son of Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Whitesides of Cooper’s Gap Township and Miss Pantha Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Edwards of Columbus were married this morning at the home of Rev. D. M. McGeachy. Misses Zella Ballew and Max Ded mondt & Mr. Clyde Edwards were present. The couple left immediately for Charleston, S. C. where, they will spend their honeymoon. Revival Services at Colambas Iff Start Sunday June 7at Columbus Presbyterian church at II o’clock. There will be two services each day the following week, one at 8 a. m. and one at 8 p. m. Rev. A. T. Lassiter of Clayton, N. C. will assist Rev. McGeachy. “Comerco” Opens Thursdaij “Cornered” is the name of a new store to open in Cooper’s Gap Township tomorrow at 1 o’clock.
