Subject “The Promised Blessing.” Sheriff Capt ures Prisoner ) James Everhart, charged with stealing from the M. A. Pace store at Saluda, escaped from Columbus jail early Friday morning. Sheriff Wil kins began searching for him as soon as he discovered the prisoner had gone. From his automobile he saw the negro riding a freight train. The Sheriff boarded the train at Saluda and rode on to Hendersonville where he had the prisoner arrested. .
