®hc ®njon Butty piuilctin Published every day except Sunday Seth M. Vining, Editor , Subscription $1.50 year WEATHER BY POSTAL TELEGRAPH Generally fair tonight and Friday except probably local thundershowers this afternoon or tonight in south-west portion. A weekly motor boat race on Lake Lanier with a prize offered the -winners would attract a few people to Tryon on those days. If the families of Polk county save 1,000 soap wrappers every week for the Columbus Baptist church, they will save SSOO in two years. A few more families could help make the whole community more at tractive just by planting flowers and grass in their front yards and building rock walls where needed. The cost is small. A little Ad in the Bulletin united a lost dog to its master yesterday. The dog was found by a farmer in the country who recently subscribed to the Bulletin. He didn’t think much of the paper at first because it was so small. Now he has the “Bulletin habit” and reads Ads and everything in it. The reward received for finding the dog more than paid his subscrip tion to the paper. Bill Bre-wer returns to Skyland today after spending a few days in Tryon. REX THEATRE Hendersonville, N. C.
