Est. 1-31-28 Saluda Extends Limits SALUDA, July 7...Citizens of the town of Saluda voted Tuesday, 93 to 47, to extend its corporate limits. The proposed extension will move the limits out about an eighth of a mile beyond the present boundary, #and will include a residental setaion adjacent to the town which already has city water and sewerage According to the county books, the in creased valuation of taxable property that will thus be brought into the town limits will be about $55,000. Os the 140 who registered for the election, 119 actually voted, the 21 who failed to vote being counted as against the proposal in compliance with the conditions of the legislative enactment. Asheville Citizen. “Follies of 1931” at Saluda SALUDA, July 7.— The Saluda Dramatic club will present Wednesday evening at S o’clock, at the Salu da high school, what thejjj call the “Follies of 1931.” About 46 persons will take part in the presentation, under the direction of Mrs. Calcin Hill, director of the club. The Glocer brothers of Tryon will take part in the entertainment. g) “The Rieals” at W.C.T.C. CULLOWHEE, N, C., July 6.-See “The Rivals”, the four-year senior play that will be given at Westean Carolina Teachers College on Thursday, July" 9 at 8:00. If the weather is favorable this comedy will be given on the woodland stage otherwise it will he staged in the auditorium. George Gibbs of Mill Spring and Miss Flora Gilbert of Columbus have parts in the cast. Rotary Meets' Friday A general discussion of plans for the future will take place Friday at the Rotary luncheon.
