Plan Highwag Celebration A big celebration is planned for the opening of the new highway, No. 215 between Spartanburg and Columbia. Tryon and Charleston will be asked to join in the fete, it is said. The Spartanburg Chamber of Com merce is sponsoring the celebration. Extra Trains Start Tonight The extra summer trains will start tonight when Train No. 2 leaves Asheville at ten o’clock, arriving in Tryon at 11:40 p.m. The return trip will start Tuesday morning at 6:40 in Spartanburg and arrive in Tryon at 7:44. These trains run between Asheville and Spartanburg only, handling sleeping cars between Asheville , Atlanta, and New Orleans. Kiwanis Tomorrow Night Trgon Kiwanis club will meet Taesdag night at 7:30 at Mimosa Inn. Directors will meet following the sapper. Call Firemen Meeting A call meeting of the Trgon Fire Department will be held Tuesdag night at the Citg Hall at 7:30. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, of Macon, Ga are visiting their daughter, Mrs. S.A.Slack.
