Lake Lanier Picture Wanted
Mr. Carter Brown has received a request from
Sports and Field Magazine for a picture of Lake
Lanier to be used in that magazine. Anyone having
a good picture, please get in touch with Mr. Brown.
Lynn to Hear Lectures
The Lynn Letcli Club for girls is beginning a series of vocational lec
tures Friday at 3:45 P.M. at Lynn church* The first lecture will be on
“Opportunities of service in the Field of Nursing” by Mrs. Emily Pass:
more Nesbitt. Dr. Rosa Ganrt will speak February 9th on “The Field of
vMedicine ” Other vacations will presented from time to time. Girls and
young women from over the County are invited to attend
Floyd Gibbons Tonight
Noted war correspondent will speak tonight oner
the NBC studios from Mukden, Manchuria. He will
tell about the present war and introduce a Japanese
general. Tune in at 7:15 if gou want to hear aim.
Let’s Hace a Mat Dog Show
It has been suggested that Tryon have a Mutt dog show this spring.
No registered dogs to enter. Only those of questionable ancestry. Every;
one in the community with a common dog would be invited to make
entry. There would be lots of fun.
