Death Claims Mr. Lyles Columbia, Jan. 20—William H. Lyles, former president of the State Bar Association and prominently identified with the business life of the state, died at his home here today after a long illness. He was in his 79th year. Mr. Lyles was the father of Mrs. J. Sprout Lyons, Jr. df Landrum and he had made Landrum his summer home for the past thirty years. Col. Young at Rotarg Col. Young of Santa Barbara, California who is visiting his sister here spoke yesterday at the Tryon Rotary club on the subject of Hawaii, geologically, politically and socially.
