Summer Trains Sundau The summer trains between Spartanburg and Asheville start Sunday morning, leaving Spartanburg at 6:15, arriving at Tryon 7 a.m. On the return trip it leaves Asheville at 8:30 p.m. arriving in Tryon at 10 o’- clock. Columbus Stores Schedule All business houses of Columbus have agreed to close their stores dur ing the week at 7 p.m. and on Saturday night at 10 o’clock. During the summer the stores close on Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Iced Air at T heater N. B. Jackson, the local ice manufacturer, states that the Community Theater is installing a new cooling and ventilating system which washes the air and cools it over cracked ice and makes it as refreshing as a sea breeze. Commissioner Swann Resigns Town Commissioner Fred E. Swann who recently moved out of the city limits and thus became ineligible to hold the town office has resigned and the Town council accepted his resignation at its regular meeting. Mr, Swann expressed his appreciation for the many courtesies and friendly relationships with the other members and assured them of his continued interest in the welfare of the community. Mayor Missildine in accepting the resignation expressed for himself and the other mem bers their regret in losing Mr, Swann from the Town Commission.
