To Celebrate Road Opening At Harmon Field, Julg 9th A big celebration of the opening of the highway at Harmon Field on July 9th is planned. Barbecue from 12 to 2 p. m. Speeches at 2:30 and plenty of band music will teature the event. The Spartanburg Herald is giving the program much publicity and at least a thousand people are expected to attend. C. Countg Tax Rate Lower The Commissioners on Monday reduced the County Tax rate from $1.82 on the hundred to $1.60, a reduction of 22 cents. The present commissioners have reduced the bonded indebtedness of the county by $27,000, and made much other progress in county affairs.
