Est. 1-31-28 Dr. Keller Coming Here Dr. Lewis H. Keller, editor, educator and former superintendent of the Congregational churches for the Southeast, will arrive in Tryon about July 3rd to substitute for Dr. John Brittan Clark during his vacation in July and August. Dr. Keller, his wife and daughter will occupy the Congregational parsonage next to the church. Free Morning Monies The Community theater will show free to everyone on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 o’clock the two reel picture “Adventures in Africa”. Kiwanis Program Todag Dr. J.M. Wallace gave a short biographical sketch of his life. C.J. Lynch told of the plans being made for the highway celebration here July 9th. Plans discussed for athletic entertainment this summer. John Artz will entertain the directors Friday night at Boxwood Inn. Next Kiwanis meeting will be held Monday, 8 p.m. at Mimosa Inn. Todag is the Longest day of the year. Sol peeped over the eastern hills at 5:16 o’clck this morning and will not disappear until 7;45 tonight. 14 hours and 31 seconds.
