Community Theater Closes
The Community Theater will dose for an in
definite period with the last showing of “Heaven
on Earth” Saturday night, June 25th, according
to a statment by Mgr.C. W.'Nessmith.
Dr. Smith at Rotary
Dr. L. Smith of the Spartanburg Baby hospital gave an instructive talk
at the Rotary club today on the prevention of diseases.
Colt Tourney Soon
The annual 4th of July Golf Tournament at the Tryon Country Club
begins July 2,3, 4th. A number of trophies will be awarded. A large
crowd is expected for the three days and includes a number of promi
nent players.
Miss Mary Crapo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, S.T, Crapo of Tryon and
Detroit, has been elected president of the Junior class at Vassar college.
Politics Actice Again
E.B.Cloud and J.S.Massenburg are out for the Legislature in the second
primary. Reynolds for Senate is making great headway against Morrison,
the present incumbent.
