Miss Berthe Waters Dies Bertha Waters. 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zenophen Wa ters, who died yesterday morning in a Spartanburg hospital, will be buried Wed. 10 a,m, at Fall Creek Baptist church, near Melrose. Miss Waters had an excellent record in Tryon graded school, having made the honor roll nearly every month. Her foot became infected early this summer, and it was amputated about a month ago when it failed to heal. Her system was infected and death followed. Columbus P. T. A. Meets Columbus P.T.A. will meet this evening at 7;30, at the School Build ing. J. Lee Lavendar will give a talk on the “Town Beautiful’', written by Miss Diana Nash of Tryon, To Baptize 40 Members Rev. Chas. B. Trammel pastor of the Columbus, Mill Spring and Lynn Baptist churches, who has been conducting fruitful revival services this summer which resulted in 40 additions to the tota 1 membership, will baptize them Wednesday night at the Columbus Baptist church, Weigel at Kitrams W. B. Weigel gace an interesting talk todag at Ki wanis when be game a brief description of tbe parts of Europe which he oisited tbis summer. School Service at Presbyterian College students, and all those going to school are incited to a special sendee at the Presbgterian church Sundag, 8 p. m. Rec.D.M.McGeachg, speaker.
