Vol. 5 McCoivn at Rotary Friday M. R. McCown who recently returned from the Institute of Government held a Raleigh,-will give the chief address Friday at the Rotary club at 1 p.m. at Oak Hall. He will speak on some phase of better government. This is national Constitution week. P.T.A. Meets Monday The first meeting of the school year for the Try on P.T.A. trill be held Monday afternoon at the school house. All members are requested by the president, Mrs. E. E. Missildine, to please briny their annual dues in order to save the membership committee so much canvassing. The social hour after the meeting will be in charge of Mrs. H. L. Shelnutt, Mrs. Marvin Ed wards, Mrs. Dick Taylor, and Mrs. D. M. McGeachy. Democrats Organize at Saluda A Young People’s Democratic club was organized at the Saluda town hall Tuesday night. Officers are: Roy Baisden, chairman; D. R. Fisher, vice chairman; Leonard Barber, secretary and treasurer; and H.M.Tanner, sergeant at arms. The club will meet each Monday night at 8 o’clock. Asheville Citizen Dance of Parish House Friday Night A dance will be held at the Parish House Friday night for High School and college folks. Negro music with Roy Sullivan at the piano and Danny Zeigler at the drum, AU-day Flower Show at Mill Spring School, Saturday. Town and rural people invited to at tend and exhibit. Est. 1-31-28
