Ponder-Henderson Mr. Woodrow Henderson and Miss Anna Belle Ponder of Tryon, Route 1, were married this morning at 7 a.m. at Land rum, S.C. The ceremony was performed by Mr. A. P. Caldwell. Plan For Zone Meeting Plans for the zone meeting to be held in Tryon, Sept, 30, when rep resentatives from the Missionary Societies of the Afethodist churches of Henderson, Transylvania, and Polk counties will be here; are to be made this afternoon at a committee meeting at the home of Mrs, W. W. Creasman, F.E.Swann New Postmaster Fred E. Swann, former Tryon City Commissioner and Mgr, of the Tryon Farmers Federation has been appointed postmaster for the Tryon office to succeed S. B. Edwards who has held the office since the last Democratic party went out of office. Mr. Edwards announced no plans for the future, and Mr. Swann did not know who would succeed him at the Federation, The change effective Saturday, The booths in Slack’s Pharmacg are displagimg a few interesting photographic pictures.
