Disarmament By PHILIP B. WINDSOR, Associate Editor of Tryon Daily Bulletin Continued from yesterday. Another point upon which the unthinking public has not been en lightened by the politicians in different countries who advocate drastic cuts in armament budgets as a means of alleviating taxpayers’ burdens, is that there exists a considerable element of humbug in the economies which might thus be effected and what might be done with them. In the first place, the American public has been continually nourished with the idea that if European nations reduced their armament costs, the savings could be employed to pay war debts.
